Explore the alpine lakes

The now famous Lake Braies with its emerald green water attracts visitors from many places. In the warmer months, you can stroll all around the lake on an easy path and in summer you can also cross it in a rowing boat. You can walk to the lake from our Residence in about ninety minutes, following a delightful track through the woods.

Upward and onward!

The Prato Piazza plateau is at a height of 2,000 metres, and is highly recommended for all summer and winter sports enthusiasts, nature lovers and keen photographers. There is a good choice of excursions from the plateau, such as the easy mountain hike up to Mount Specie, with breath-taking views of the famous Tre Cime (Three Peaks).

Mountain biking

Whether you're looking for thrills, challenges or relaxation, there are routes to suit all MTB enthusiasts in and around the Fanes-Senes-Braies Natural Park! You can rent a mountain bike or bicycle from us!

Climbing

For those who enjoy climbing, with or without ropes, the Braies Dolomites and surrounding area offer many different routes with varying degrees of difficulty.

They range from the easy route up to Monte Piano, to some moderately difficult climbs on Monte Paterno, and more challenging vie ferrate on the Croda Rossa, the Cima Colli Alti and the Tre Cime di Lavaredo. Then the really top ascents are on the Strada degli Alpini, and the vie ferrate of Cima Dodici and the Torre di Toblin. Otherwise, you can go to one of the climbing gyms in the Fanes-Senes-Braies and Tre Cime natural parks: at Lake Braies and at Lake Landro, Grotte di Landro and Geierwand.
