Flurrying snowflakes & fun in the snow
Ice patterns on the windows. Ice crystal sparkling in the sun. The amazing snow-covered landscape of the Dolomites. The magical sight of forests capped with snow. Active all the way, with skiing near Braies and in the 3 Cime Dolomiti ski area. An evocative Christmas in the mountains near Lake Braies. Braies is right in the heart of this winter landscape, an idyllic setting for winter sports lovers.
Skiing in and around Braies
The small but attractive Braies ski area is particularly suitable for families and beginners. The Sonnleiten and Kameriot ski lifts take you up to more than 3 km of downhill runs and new ski cross slopes. For those who can't get enough of winter sport, there's the Tre Cime Dolomiti ski area: with links between 5 mountains and 110 km of slopes it ensures you plenty of fun. A ski bus will pick you up right next to our Residence and take you to the ski area of your choice. |

Cross-country trails
Cross-country skiers can enjoy over 40 km of well-tended cross-country trails. And best of all: you can put on your cross-country skis just behind our Residence and get straight out on the trail.
Sports highlights: the Pustertal Ski Marathon, the Val Casies Gran Fondo, the Dobbiaco-Cortina race and the Biathlon World Cup (20 km). |
Sledding, ice climbing, ski mountaineering and snowshoe hiking
What about some fun on a toboggan? Or do you prefer excursions right away from it all? Explore the alpine world of Braies, surrounded by frozen peaks, and sink your feet into the deep snow, feeling all the power of nature.
Put on your skis and choose your destination: the Crepe di Val Chiara, the Piccolo Giavo, the Grande Giavo, the Corno di Fana, the Forcella Cristallo, or the Sasso di Sesto - often starting out from Prato Piazza or Carbonin.
